Climate justice and healthy communities are a core component of my campaign for alderman. I believe everyone should breathe clean air, drink fresh water, and enjoy public parks and land. That's why I support reconstituting the Department of Environment, passing the Water for All ordinance, creating more composting and community gardens in the ward and across the city, and building more climate resilience and carbon neutral infrastructure.
Join me for an environmental town hall on Monday, October 3 at 6pm. The community town hall is open to all and will be hybrid, with the physical location at the campaign office at 5454 N Broadway and the virtual option on Zoom.
When flooding hit Edgewater and the North side a few weeks ago, I immediately sprang into action. That same day, I opened my campaign office to those who needed a safe, dry place to go, cleaned trash out of storm drains on the streets, and went door to door to check on neighbors. I will use my aldermanic office to offer aid to residents immediately during environmental crises and connect neighbors with resources they need to survive and thrive. I hope you'll join me at this town hall to discuss environmental issues that matter to you and hear more about my climate justice platform.
