Everyone deserves to feel safe on our streets and sidewalks. Unfortunately, many of Chicago's streets are not designed for pedestrians or cyclists, especially children, seniors, and people with disabilities. We deserve better.
Join me on Monday, June 20th at 6:30pm for a community town hall and listening session on pedestrian and cyclist safety. I'll outline my vision for safer streets in the 48th Ward and facilitate a listening session, discussion, and question and answer period. We will also hold a moment of silence for recent lives lost to traffic violence.
All are welcome. Please bring a blanket or lawn chair, as this event will be outside. Please direct all accessibility questions and requests to Jamie at [email protected] by Saturday, June 18. Press requests can be directed to [email protected]
